2009 Audi Q5 SUV Officially Unveiled in Beijing
Not like any person went to the difficulty of launching the 2009 Audi Q5 without approval, but the main reason is the hush-up have now come off the latest Small-UV from Auto Union last day, the live reveal at this week's Beijing Motor Show. What more is there to say about this overgrown jellybean other than the press release below the about this long-waited car? According to Audi it has "slim, coupe-like styling." We're of the belief, for the reason that this automobile is a little bit petite and more nice-looking compare to a Q7. Thus, if you think they're spot on, then you can go to it as you'll believe just about everything.
Audi has formally revealed the newly 2009 Audi Q5 SUV that is creating its all around the globe introduction in Beijing.

This Q5 consists of a wide selection of engines, while the US will not liable see all of the trims. The common 2.0 TFSI engine has been revised and now fully 211 horsepower. 2.0L and 3.0L diesel engines are also available to be presented. The US is likely to obtain the 3.2L FSI V6 to a six-speed automatic transmission plus Quattro all wheel drive. The V6 can go 265 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid power-driven Q5 might finally release it to the US.

Future Cars
During my free time I was thinking for some time researching cool futuristic cars or vehicle picture. In the end I determined to dedicate a whole day to it and started the process one Thursday morning around 2 a.m. maybe. It’s time for a different Sci-Fi and Future vehicle journey.
To catch my mood I begin by watching the one of my preferred loved movie called " Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" and the trailer of the new movie called "Speed Racer" I love those POD race tournament they perform. It is so brilliant. Probably one of the best races with next-generation automobiles I’ve seen that gets you out there, not exactly the crash scene because it’s so vicious, but to a positive unique state of mind that is I am over heavy influence of the movie at that time.
I'm a really excited regarding the future cars that will step up on our roads and byways and even skyways when time comes. What if the next car you buy would be only car you’ve ever buy again? What if you can sit wherever you want it when you drove? Let’s just say you have the Future Honda car that you’ll never need a steering wheel when you drove and just use joystick or a computer mouse to navigate or Just like the Aptera Motors that has an innovative car that looks like it belongs in the future. Its aerodynamic frameworks make it appear like something out of the Jetson’s.
Even though the rumor is buried for years, my final research and my best choice ends up with the GM’s creation known as the Skateboard Flatform concept. For me, it is the top future car.

According to money.cnn.com ”The basic component of GM's plan for a fuel cell vehicle is a so-called skateboard platform that would include both the fuel cells and the vehicle's powertrain, allowing a variety of body types to be economically built and added to the mass-produced six-inch thick chassis.”

Perk It Up!

To help protect the more than $1 million worth of luxury cars he owns, Phil Smith paid about $100,000 for a high-end garage that rivals any upscale auto showroom.
The four-car, 1,500-square-foot room has epoxy floors, a stainless steel air-conditioning unit and several refurbished gas pumps dating back to the 1920s.
"It's a very high-tech, art-deco look," said the retired Paradise Valley resident who plans to install an even larger garage at the new home he and his wife are currently building.
Smith is one of a growing number of car lovers who are willing to spend as much money on their garages as they do on their Porsches, Bentleys and Mercedes-Benz automobiles.
They have a large amount of disposable income, they have expensive tastes and, most important, seem to be immune from the current economic downturn, according to Arizona Republic.
Some are even shopping for "garage condos," which are fancy storage spaces for the well-heeled car collector who doesn't want to build onto their house.
Gilbert-based Utaz Development Corp., which until now has built mostly medical office condos, is marketing its "My Extra Garage" as an upscale haven for high net-worth automobile aficionados.
"A lot of people have extra nice vehicles that they don't want around the normal traffic," said Craig Willett, president and CEO of Utaz. "They're fussy about them. They want to keep them clean." Current plans call for the project to have up to 44 garage units ranging from about 1,000 square feet to 2,000 square feet, Willett said.
Utaz plans to offer the units for sale starting at around $130,000. The units will be pre-wired for Internet, cable and satellite television, and surround-sound systems.
They also will include features like 14-by-14-foot doors, up to 24-foot ceilings and have space for hydraulic lifts, personalized locker rooms, mini-kitchens and other amenities.

Japanese automakers like Toyota and Honda as well as Nissan are known for their small cars which have remarkable reliability. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi is often times connected to ricers. Ford To Expand Operations In India
The Asian auto market is growing steadily and automakers like Ford are taking advantage of the situation in the Orient. The Dearborn outfit is currently battling lowered sales and markets share in the ever important United States auto market.
Recently, The Auto Channel reported that the automaker has earmarked $500 million for the expansion of their Indian operations. The automaker is not the first one to announce its expansion in the Indian auto market.
John Parker, the executive vice president for Asia Pacific and Africa at Ford, had this to say: "This new investment highlights the significance of India's role in our continued expansion and overall strategy for the Asia Pacific and Africa region. We've developed a long-term and strategic plan for India that's anchored on a substantial product program and new engine manufacturing facility."
According to the automaker, part of the $500 million budget will go to increasing their manufacturing output in India. The Auto Channel reported that the first phase of the plan for the Indian expansion is already underway. It involves the setting up of a diesel engine assembly plant in Chennai. Apart from that, the Chennai plant will also be upgraded so that it will be in place to manufacture small cars.
"Ford India's small car will be a worthy addition to the already successful and robust product mix that we offer to Indian consumers, and will further strengthen our competitive position in this increasingly dynamic market," said Arvind Mathew, the president and managing director of Ford India.
With the $500 million investment in India, we can safely assume that the automaker is looking outside of the United States to increase its sales and manufacturing output.

Change A Dirty Air Filter
Car maintenance is essential to every vehicle. Car owners are required to learn some basic stuff about car maintenance like changing a dirty air filter in your car. So what are the steps in doing this simple task? It’s easy, just follow my instructions, ok?
- First, get hold of the Air filter before tossing out the old one
- Pop the hood and find where the airbox is located or verify with your owners manual to locate the airbox.
- Clamps or screws can be spotted once you spot the airbox.
- Take off or unclamp the airbox so that you can get your way in to the air filter.
- Draw the top cover open until the airfilter is easily reached
- Seize the old air filter and toss it out once you open it.
- Fix in the new airfilter and be sure it matches the snug and fits really right.
- The job is done! All you need to do is reverse the steps and that’s it!
Here are a few tips courtesy of WiKiHow.com:
- If you don't know what filter you should by look for the model number on the stock filter and check on the store shelves for the EXACT filter.
- Changing your airfilter could extend gas mileage
- ALWAYS change your airfilter when recommended
- Change your airfilter every 10,000 miles
- Depend on the usage of your car, you might have to change your filter more frequently.
- Using a different type of airfilter material is much better than a regular cotton or paper filter because of airflow, materials like cotton gauss, or foam airfilters but it's a bit more expensive.
- Depending on your car's manufacture a replacement airfilter could be hard to find off store shelves
- If you couldn't find a replacment airfilter off the store shelves, go to the dealer and they will get a replacement for you.
- Treat your car with a lot of care
- If you get confused and have too much trouble, visit a mechanic.

Changing Wheels
- Get the car on a level, flat surface. If you aren't in a driveway or garage, turn on your hazard lights.
- Lock the tire that is diagonally across from the one being changed with pieces of wood or large rocks. Make sure this wheel will not roll. If it's a rear wheel, set the parkng brake. If it's a front wheel on a front wheel drive car, be sure the car is in park. If the car is standard (manual transmission), put the car in first or reverse gear to lock the wheels (front wheels in a front wheel drive, rear is a rear wheel drive, etc). The engine compression while the car is off will prevent the tires from spinning.
- Remove hub cap - Use a flat screwdriver or the flat end of the lug wrench to remove the hubcap. Once it is removed, place the hubcap in your trunk so it doesn't get scratched up (if it's a nice one).
- Loosen wheel nuts - Now, fit one end of the lug-nut wrench on to the lug nut and pull it counter clockwise. Only loosen each nut about a quarter turn. Continue until you've loosened each lug nut.
- Find your car's jacking point. An older car may just use the frame, a newer car will have two notches or tabs on the seam below the door that the factory jack will fit into. Place the jack in place and raise the car slowly. Make sure the car doesn't try to roll away as the wheel comes off the ground.
- Jack the car up until it is high enough to remove the old wheel and put the new wheel on. The new wheel may be bigger in diameter than the old flat wheel. You need enough room for the new tire to fit.
- With the wheel in the air, remove the lug nuts and place them on a towel. Pull the wheel off the car. Make sure you have a firm grip so it doesn't roll away. Take the spare tire out of the trunk, and put the old tire in the trunk.
- Match the holes of the new wheel with the stud bolts on the car and and set the wheel on the studs.
- Start putting the lug nuts back on. Make sure the rounded end of the nut goes towards the wheel or your wheel will be loose. The nuts should go most of the way in by hand. Take your lug wrench and tighten them as much as you can with the wheel in the air. You're going to tighten them again later, but you don't want the wheel moving around on the studs.
- Lower the car on the jack. Tighten your lug nuts with your lug wrench (clockwise to tighten). They should be very tight. If you're a small to medium build person, I would say they should be as tight as you can get them. If you're a body builder, just don't break the studs.

Milestone Sonata
Korean automaker Hyundai has been known in the past to be the manufacturer of cheap cars which does not have the reliability of Japanese automobiles. But through the years, Hyundai has proven to the world that it can compete with the best. And the Hyundai Sonata is an example of the automaker's potential.
Recently, The Auto Channel reported that the Korean automaker has sold the one millionth unit of the Hyundai Sonata in the United States. The milestone Sonata was sold by Crain Hyundai of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Dave Zuchowski, vice president for nationals sales at Hyundai Motor America had this to say: "Historically, the Sonata represents the best of Hyundai's ability to combine style, safety, quality and value into one package for consumers. Like our company, the vehicle itself has evolved dramatically over the past 20 years and we're well positioned to sell another million in the United States."
The Sonata was launched by the Korean automaker in 1989. It was Hyundai's response to the growing demand for family vehicles. The midsize car is also the response of automaker to the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry, the two biggest nameplates in its class. Although the Sonata is yet to become a major threat to the market share of the two Japanese automobiles, it is the best selling auto from Hyundai.
With its dependability, the Sonata is increasingly becoming popular among consumers looking for a family car. The one millionth mark shows that the Sonata has become an alternative to the Camry and Accord that American buyers are gladly taking. One million Sonata units sold in less than 20 years shows just how the automaker is taking great strides forward.
